What is Metsa (moxibustion) ?
Moxibustion is a Tibetan traditional therapy used to treat and prevent diseases by applying burning moxa to stimulate the human body. The material used for moxibustion is mainly Tibetan herbal leaves and it is processed into mugwort for clinical use.
The four major moxibustion strokes we use in the therapy which are not harmful for the skin:

  • Ginger moxibustion (mainly used for weak stomach, diarrhea, abdominal pain, arthralgia and etc)
  • Garlic moxibustion (mainly used for sores, poisonous insect bites etc)
  • Salt moxibustion (mainly used for abdominal pain, cold extremities after vomiting and diarrhea etc)
  • Moxibustion with warmed needles (mainly treat all kinds of cold symptoms)
